Donald S. Robitzer, Jr.
Aside from his role as a partner in Montchanin Builders, Don serves as Vice President and the Chief Operating Officer for The Commonwealth Group, LLC. Don graduated from Ithaca College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Management and Marketing. Before starting his career at Montchanin and The Commonwealth Group, Mr. Robitzer spent nine years managing his family business in Reading, Pennsylvania, overseeing all aspects of the business management, including Site Location, Construction, Operations, Marketing and Business Development. He is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, approval and construction of new projects in the Commonwealth pipeline. To date, he is responsible for the successful completion of eight development projects totaling approximately 507,500 square feet. Before moving to the development side of the company, he was responsible for the leasing and management of 1.7 million square feet of commercial, industrial and residential properties that comprise the Commonwealth Group’s real estate portfolio. Mr. Robitzer is a member of the New Castle County Board of Realtors, Urban Land Institute, Committee of 100 and sits on the boards of the Wilmington Renaissance Corporation, Commercial Industrial Realty Council, Claymont Renaissance Development Corporation and the State Committee of Ducks Unlimited.
Timothy L. Jones
Tim is a partner in Montchanin Builders and also serves as Vice President and General Counsel for The Commonwealth Group, LLC. Tim’s experience in real estate and land use law makes him uniquely qualified to provide Montchanin guidance in its acquisition, development, construction and sales activities. Mr. Jones is also a partner in The Commonwealth Group, LLC, a full service real estate development and management company in the tri-state area. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Mr. Jones was an associate with the law firm of Riley, Riper, Hollin & Colagreco where he specialized in litigation, land use and zoning law. Mr. Jones earned his J.D. in 1994 from Widener University School of Law. He earned his B.A. degree from Lynchburg College in 1990. Mr. Jones is currently a member of the Commercial Industrial Realty Council and the New Castle County Board of Realtors, and serves on the boards of the Brandywine Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, The Cheshire Hunt Conservancy and Brandywine Polo Club, among other affiliations.
Anthony Ruggio
With over 25 years of residential home building experience and a second generation Delaware home builder, Anthony started his career in the trenches learning and absorbing every aspect of construction from the ground up – from installing block foundations to putting the finishing touches on a completed home, and everything in between.
In 1992 he joined a fortune 500 home building company where for 10 years he honed his skills in construction techniques, sales, land development, marketing and customer service. In 2000, Anthony started working for a local home building company for which he oversaw all aspects of the day to day operations. The company grew to one of the largest privately held home builders in Delaware. Over the course of the next 10 years the company built over 1,000 homes in the Delaware and Southern Chester County areas. Anthony’s ability to recognize land values, acquire, develop and deliver a quality home is how he is known best by his peers.
In 2009, Anthony J. Ruggio co-founded Montchanin Builders along with Donald S. Robitzer, Jr. and Timothy L. Jones. Montchanin Builders has been building and selling residential homes to date in excess of $100,000,000.
Anthony Ruggio is a member of the Delaware Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.
